Himutok...
Trabaho ako ng trabaho. Bukas, sigurado mas pagod pa ako.
Nay, bakit ganon?
*******
Does it sounds familiar? Yes I mimic the "Lucky Me!" try-out commercial. I called that commercial "himutok" because I feel what that kid feels yung "parang pinagsakluban ng langit at lupa."
But as Nanay said "Never say die" and "Tomorrow is another day"
So I might as well brace myself for tomorrow.

32 Years
Daye on Dare to Private Practice of Law
First, Lawyers admitted to the Bar in 2008 must comply with 24 Units of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). I am already covered by the Third Compliance Period until April, 2010 to finish the 36 units prescribed. But, before I can actually sign pleadings, at the moment I need 24 units. The schedule of next MCLE’s are set late June and July, so it means I cannot have my Compliance Certificate earlier than August plus the pricey cost of enrollment in MCLE nearly gave me a heart attack. I should have asked for credited units’ certificate on all MCLE lectures I attended assisting on the lectures of my former Boss and preparing his lecture materials, that could have given me 15 credited units. I regret the time that I did not attend the free MCLE seminars given by PHILJA during my stay at the Supreme Court.
Second, I applied for Professional Tax Receipt but my application was refused because they want me to submit a Certificate of Membership in the Bar recently issued. Haller! I have already flaunted my IBP ID, Certificate of Membership issued just last year and my IBP Receipt for 2009 would that not be enough? Ironic, the City Treasurer’s Office refused a taxpayer voluntarily paying her tax.
Third, effective July 1, every practicing lawyer will be mandated to render a minimum of 60 hours of free legal aid services to indigent litigants yearly. Just the same a Compliance Certificate must be written in the pleading otherwise you cannot appear in court. Hmmm, that means I must comply until September, a 5 hour appearance in court or 5 pleadings filed for pauper litigants attested by the Clerk of Court. I think this Rule is redundant with the mandate of the PAO. Sigh.
The practice of law is a privilege and with the practice comes great responsibility. I absolutely agree with Justice Nachura when he compared the PRACTICE OF LAW to STEWARDSHIP, that “it is a recognition that everything we have is a gift from the Almighty, and not ours to own and keep and do with as we please. We are merely custodians of these gifts. Accordingly, our intelligence, our talents and our resources are not meant to be used solely for our self-gratification, but to be shared with those lesser-circumstanced.”
For now, before I go blabbing about the nobility of being a lawyer, I must get my requisitos first.

Hmmmm......
The Bottom Line
It's a great day to surprise yourself. Take more chances and see what happens.
In Detail
It's a wonderful day to surprise yourself, so take a few chances where you might not have taken a chance before. You need to try more things and worry about failure another time. Life can be a numbers game, so the more new things you get involved with, the better your chances of finding your true purpose. Let go of a past mistake, because you're holding yourself back by replaying it over and over again in your mind. It's time to move on.

This has nothing to do with the decision I made today. I've decided even before learning my today's horoscope. However, I am a horoscope fan and I love reading today's one, it soothes my guilt feeling and made me feel like I am at most of my liberty after 45 days.
I'm so happy.
